When received our products have not been treated with any protective agents.
It is recommended that a single covering of teak oil be applied simply to prevent initial water staining.
If you want to retain the ‘just bought’ look of the wood then regular applications (3 monthly) should be applied.
To simply keep the wood clean, use a power hose or scrubbing brush with mild soapy water followed by a
very fine sanding once or twice per year. The teak will naturally fade and go silver, becoming the recognisable
features we see in gardens worldwide.
